Virus and Malware Protection
All MedKaz providers and patients receive a CD containing the Norton Antivirus application and a free one year subscription.
Norton Antivirus checks each file as it is accessed so it is fast and will not waste your time. When you plug a MedKaz – or any other device – into your computer, Norton Antivirus automatically scans files on that device as they are opened to protect your system.
If you do not already have an antivirus application on your computer, it is strongly recommended that you install Norton Antivirus. It protects your computer from known viruses and malware, and is updated regularly by Norton.
If you use a Macintosh, follow these steps to prevent the application from regularly scanning any drive on or connected to your computer, an operation that could take a long time. By doing so, you will not lose any protection; you simply will save time.
- Install Norton Antivirus
- Click on the Norton icon on the menu bar
- Select Norton Antivirus
- Click on Disable Auto-Protect
