The MedKaz System

The MedKaz System is an easy and extremely efficient way to manage a patient's lifetime medical records and make them available to their care providers - any time, any place. Each patient has their own MedKaz containing all their up-to-date medical records from all their care providers, both past and present. They should have it with them at all times, and especially for all visits to their doctors.

Each time they see a care provider, whether for a routine visit or in an emergency, they give their MedKaz to the care provider. The provider logs on, the patient enters his or her password and the MedKaz opens displaying critical summary information about the patient's current condition not available in any other system.  The provider also can access all the detailed medical and administrative information residing on the MedKaz that they need to treat their patient, irrespective of whether the records were created as paper or electronic documents  These accessible records include: progress notes, tests and lab results, and operative and discharge reports as well as insurance, contact, advance directives and other important personal information.

When treating the patient, the care provider can use the powerful MedKaz sort and search tools to identify and access copies of the patient's prior medical records residing on their MedKaz to help understand, diagnose and treat the patient's current problems.  When finished treating the patient, the care provider updates the patient's MedKaz by completing easy-to-use documents such as the MedKaz Encounter Summary.  Copies of these digitized records also are sent to the originating care provider's Patient Record Manager (PRM), a free application they download when they register to dispense and/or support the MedKaz.  Even care providers who have not registered with HRC can participate by submitting records that HRC can digitize and load onto a patient's MedKaz.
